Google's Mobile Milestone

Business Insider had a very interesting article today about Google's mobile milestone.

This is important to all businesses in America today.

Here is the killer quote...

"Mobile devices will account for more than 50% of all paid ad clicks on Google in the U.S. by December 2015, according to a search marketing company that handles $6 billion in online spending.

What this means is that in 2015, for the first time mobile — not desktop — will be the de facto main screen of online life."

If you are like me, you  have been seeing your number of clicks through Adwords and organic search decline steadily over the past several years. If you want to know where they are going, this article is very good proof where they are going.

Tablets are Becoming the New Paper

We have been developing new products for the iPad and Android tablets lately.

One of the things that is becoming really clear to me is that tablets are becoming the new paper.

Just like a piece of paper, the tablet is a flat rectangular surface. You can write and draw on it with a stylus just like you use a pencil or pen to write on a piece of paper.

So you can use it exactly like a piece of paper, but then it gets better. You can save what you do to an electronic document, email it, save the data to a database. To do all these things if you had written on a piece of paper would require scanning and re-keying.

As compared to a laptop or desktop computer, the tablet starts instantly and gives you a touch screen. Big deals when you need a signature.

Cap Dat ACORD on the i-Phone

Yesterday I got my first Apple i-Phone. One of the first things I did was try out Cap Dat ACORD on it. I was more than pleased, I was blown away.

Now you can have all you customers information accessible to you anytime, anywhere on your phone. You can do everything on the phone you can do from your PC except upload new items into the document management system.
