The very same web sites I can visit on my iPhone and iTouch I can not see using my iPad browser. Not acceptable in any way. I couldn't order take out last night from my iPad. I had to use my iTouch iPod. This is just stupid.</li><li>No USB port. I need to move stuff on and off my iPad without having to get Apple's approval first. That kind of control ended in grade school when I had to get permission from Miss Frothingham to go to the bathroom.</li><li>No camera. I will be posting video of how it works about the same time.<br /><br />Why do I think it is better than a laptop? I think when you are sitting at a table, showing documents to a customer, the iPad is much closer to the experience of actually showing a paper document.<br /><br /><br /><ol><li>It is one flat surface - a laptop is two surfaces and the screen is limited related to the angles you can view.</li><li>Like a piece of paper, you can lay the iPad flat on the table and turn the page to face your customer, but you can still read it upside down. Try doing that with a laptop.</li><li>I hope you will be able to have your customer sign their name with their finger right on the screen. Not sure this is available, but wouldn't that be the best electronic signature ever?</li></ol><br /><br />I don't think you will use your iPad to complete the bulk of the information in an ACORD form, but making selective changes will be easy.<br /><br />I know that using a program like our <a href="http://www.simply-easier-acord-forms.com/free_acord_forms.html">Cap Dat ACORD</a> service, most of the time the things you are doing are not keyboard driven, but are mouse driven. We have been very pleased that so many of you have tried it out. </div><div><br /></div><div>My suggestion is you set up a test profile with your email address and invite yourself to share some files.</div><div><br /></div><div>We will be putting out our second update this Friday - not bad adding new features once a week.</div><div><br /></div><div>We are improving the messaging so messages you send from inside SehHey can be responded to from the email but still kept track of in the SehHey and Cap Dat ACORD messaging center. Create new completed forms, upload files into document management, email files, etc.<br /></li><li>You can Associate any file you have already created or uploaded with any Policy Profile.</li></ol><br />And, of course, you can continue to use tags, descriptions and notes to create your own unique information organization.<br /><br />Our original Cap-Dat ACORD philosophy is to provide you - the user of the system - with as much flexibility as possible. We let you create your own folder tree. We let you self organize your files through tagging, etc.<br /><br />This release marks a milestone in our also providing you with a more structured framework in which to work. But it does not leave behind your freedoms you have come to expect in Workspace.<br /><br />To re-inforce that point, everytime you create a form using Profiles, you save it not only in the Policy Profile, you also save it in the Workspace Folder of your choice. Or you can create a new folder in Workspace as you create new Client Profiles, new Policy Profiles, new completed forms, or new uploaded files.<br /><br />Without getting at all technical about this I do want you to know that the original design foundation of Cap-Dat ACORD is what is allowing it to continue to evolve. Click on the link and we open Google Maps in a new browser. The address of your customer is automatically transferred to Google Maps. The map opens showing that location.<br /><br />In many areas Google's Street View is also available directly from the map. This gives you a picture of the property. You can cut and paste the link from Street View into a hyperlink as part of your Customer information. You can them attach this hyperlink to any other document or email sent from the system. You could let as many folks use that log on as you wished - even at the same time. But you did not have the ability to have the return or reply to email address be unique to each user. We felt this was a reason the emailing from within the system was not being used as much as it could be.</div><div><br /></div><div>So now you get an Agency Profile and one Agent Profile when you set up a Cap-Dat ACORD account. And you can add as many additional Agent Profiles as you want. The Agent Profile includes the ability to enter that agent's specific, unique email reply to address.</div><div><br /></div><div>The Agent Profile also lets the agent share or make private all the forms and customer information that agent creates for her or his insureds - with one exception. The Agency Profile login will always allow access to all individual agent customer information. After all, the agency holds the insurance company contracts.
